Spec Sheet Normaliser Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Spec Sheet Normaliser website and the Spec Sheet Normaliser Chrome extension ("the tool"). The tool has no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you do in it is sent to the developer.
What the tool reads
- Datasheet PDFs you add. They are read inside your browser with the bundled pdf.js library. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- The PDF in the current tab (extension only). When you click the toolbar icon and then "Add PDF from this tab", the extension reads that one PDF. If the site does not allow this with the temporary access Chrome grants for a click, Chrome asks you for permission for that one site; nothing is requested at install and no other site is read.
What is stored, and where
- Labels you teach, your theme choice and a Pro license key, if you activate one, are kept in your browser's local storage on your device.
- The extension keeps the address and title of the tab you clicked the icon on, in Chrome session storage, which is cleared when Chrome closes.
- The comparison table exists only on screen; closing the page or panel discards it.
What is transmitted, and to whom
- To the developer: nothing.
- Pro license validation. If you activate a Pro license, the license key and a device label are sent to Dodo Payments, the merchant of record that sells Pro, to confirm the purchase, at activation and about once a week after that. Dodo shares a buyer's name, email address and purchase details with the developer as the seller. No datasheet content is ever sent to Dodo.
Your choices
- Remove a taught label or your license key from the Settings panel at any time.
- Uninstalling the extension or clearing site data removes everything the tool stored.
- Per-site access granted to the extension can be withdrawn in Chrome under Extensions › Spec Sheet Normaliser › Site access.
Data we do not collect
No personal information, health, financial, authentication, communication, location, browsing-history or activity data is collected by the tool. We do not sell or share data, and do not use it for advertising or creditworthiness.
Changes
Changes to this policy are published at this address with a new effective date.
